Duck proof fencing

Hi

We are getting some indian runner ducks (6 adults on loan) soon and the area they will have the run of is unused driveway with large boarders and small wooded area round a large pond, all getting rather overgrown, this area is currently fully fenced with a mix of 3" and 6" square wire netting along the bottom and a 7ft fence where the area boarders the road.

I don't want to have to re-fence anything due to the expense but I am a little concerned that they will be able to get through the larger" square holes, these go into one of our overgrown fields at one side which is double fenced but with the same 6" square mesh and our yard at the other.

How small a hole do you think they can get through and with such a large area to explore are they likely to try.

(they will be in a duck house during the eve/night.)

Thanks for any opinions/info

K
