today i had a day off and was up with the pigs doing a few minor repairs etc and while i was sitting down outside the pen havin a drink one of the pigs was squeeling like mad i can only think that he could see the feed bucket next to my feet then all of a sudden he leaped like a bloody horse jumping at the grand national over the palleted feed area and straight at my feet i have never seen anything jump as high as it is just over 4 ft and would not think that they would for one second get over that it took me over an hour to catch him and get him back in as there is lovely fresh grass next to the pen so tomorrow will be spend adding extra bits of timber to the fencing to make it higher i did not know they could jump like that has that ever happend to anyone else

I've been told about a boar who used to jump a similar height stone wall from his pig sty walk about 600 meters visiting 2 pet pot belly pigs and was back in time for breakfast he was caught the second time

Impressive stuff    We had a Tamworth and an OSB sow, both of whom could jump a stock fence from a standing start  and we have had Kunekunes who got over the fence (but only because they climbed on their siblings backs  )

The feed bucket would have a lot to do with it  but you might need to up the height of the fencing now that he knows he can do it  ................

I had  kune at about 5 months old get over a fence. She got her front legs hooked over it and clambered over, then when she was fed up clambered back.

We had a large black boar that would jump anything, in the end had to put a string of electric along the top to keep him in. He was found one day in with a berkshire sow, luckily not in season, but I was accused of leaving his pen gate open
