First Lamb home
« on: April 04, 2013, 08:44:31 pm »
I have cheated this year and sent my ewes back to the farmer that I bought them from to tup and lamb for me in return for some pork, first one came home today my mule with a very big strong lamb.
Feeling a bit guilty when I read everyone elses lambing tales but it just wasn't possible for me to do it myself this year, hopefully next year will be different.
Will post a photo of him tomorrow.

Congratulations.
I would happily send my ewes to be with someone more experienced than me. Lucky them. Lucky you.

Good stuff Anne, so long as they're happy and healthy and a good trade made, that's what it's all about!  Good spring news, that's what we all need.  :D
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
