I got kitttens!! (Shetland X lambs ;) )
« on: March 30, 2013, 07:46:16 pm »
At 145 days, my first-time Manx Loaghtan gimmer, DC (Dot Cotton), spat out two perfect Shetland X lambs, one of each.   ;D  Both fed, she can count to 2, I am a very very happy bunny. :excited:

And... the ewe lamb's fleece is soooo soft!  :knit: :excited:   Charcoal grey above, even darker below - Dark grey katmoget?

The tup lamb, who is less all round, is a lighter grey but still, I think, katmoget?  His fleece is closer and harsher.

Next Manx x Shetland are not due for a month - Pricket rejected Jack Frost and managed to spring black Zebedee from a locked stable!   ::)

The two Charollais X hoggs are due to Jack Frost in a week to 10 days.  Can hardly wait!   :excited:

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Oh how adorable! They do look katmoget to me, and you will (probably) find they will lighted up a shade or 2 as they mature, but there are smashers
We'll turn the dust to soil,
Turn the rust of hate back into passion.
It's not water into wine
But it's here, and it's happening.
Massive,
but passive.

Bring the peace back
