Blood scare
« on: March 21, 2013, 10:26:58 pm »
I looked out the window today to see to my horror that Pom's nose was covered in blood.  Then I realised her beard was also red.  I was in a panic untl I remembered that the bucket of vegetables that they had for breakfast, courtesy of our local shopkeeper, contained several very ripe strawberries.

Did something similar last year when Puffin was due to kid. She had a red mouth so I decided in my irrational brain, that she'd kidded out of the barn, chewed the cord (hence red mouth) and the kid was somewhere in distress. Then I realised it was the red rockie lick.  ::)

Even more worrying when it's your 18month human child after raiding the beetroot in the fridge ::)
