Has anyone with Boers noticed if their Boers dont use the salt licks ?
I spent yesterday stripping the sheds down and giving everything a good scrub, took from 9.30am untill 3pm non stop working 
everyone has the red rockies and I noticed yesterday the boers licks are vertualy untouched where as the ones in the dairy goats that went in at the same time are nearly half gone

My GG's don't use theirs, but the BT's do.... no idea what that is about    . Otherwise all the same food/water/hay & grass.
 
So there may be breed-specific differences ?

Yes everything else is exactly the same between the 2 breeds here aswell.
Now that you mention it our GG that we had years ago never used to touch her salt lick either

Willow is half gg and togg she doesn't bother with her lick

Funnily enough my boer crosses don't seem to bother with red lick. I keep finding it on the floor as they prefer to scratch giants it rather than lick it! Also didn't touch Scats sheep lick but went a bit mad for the Lifeline bucket which I bought for ewes.
