Had a call tonight inviting me to a party  a friend of a friend who I think I have only met twice has come up with this bright idea to have a mucking out party   
everyone goes and helps muck out his deep littered barns and in return get a meal and drink !
Now why didnt I think of this last week when I spent a full day mucking our lot out on my own 
Unfortunatly its on saturday and I have to go down to Lancashire that day so had to turn the invite down

THats a great idea that could be adapted to all sorts of things......and no need to dress posh

Every time I suggest parties like that, my friends and family scatter and make for the hills!

I once went to a painting party.  We all had a paint brush in one hand and a glass that kept getting topped up in the other.  By the end of the evening we were painting window panes as well as the frames.
