She's had a good life, and was one of our first chickens, from day one she was really friendly -although she really didn't like laying eggs !
Where ever we were in the garden she was always with us, I know she was nearly 7 but it was really upsetting to see her go down hill over the last week.  We couldn't find anything obviously wrong with her but she died earlier today.

  she has had a loving home where she lived longer than many a hen. It is a sad time but also a time to look back on what you gave her and be proud. She was most likely just fading with her age.

That's sad CarolW, but a good age for a hen to get to. She was fortunate to have such a caring home.

   She was obviously well loved and lived to a very good age. Lucky little hen.
