Vecoxan - Ayrshire - anyone need any?
« on: February 10, 2013, 12:36:31 pm »
Hi - have just spent over £100 on 1 litre of Vecoxan  :o  to dose my wee gang of 11 lambs I wondered if anyone else would like to buy what's left (at reduced rate)
My current lambs (x 11) don't actually have cocci, but had some that did a few years ago so I now give the lambs a precautionary dose at 3 weeks and 6 weeks approx
The use by date is October 2014 so I intend to keep enough to cover next years lambs and then the rest is available
Am in Ayrshire - near Kilmarnock

Hi,

How many ml's do you want to sell?

I would need enough for 30 lambs, so you may not have enough to sell?

Hi
I don't have the bottle to hand but should be plenty - lambs dosed (on a precautionary as opposed to treating an existing problem basis) at between 4 & 6 weeks won't be that heavy - just done mine little uns at about 5 ml each (confess I guessed their weight)         Can you estimate how heavy your lambs will be?    Assuming you dosed 30 lambs at say even 10ml each twice would be 600ml from a 1000ml bottle    Don't have the bottle handy but I think it is a higher dose if you are treating actual disease rather than as a preventative
hope that helps
are you in Ayrshire?

Just a heads up be aware that you need to be qualified and licenced to sell veterinary medicines.

thanks Hughsey - hadn't thought about it from that point of view    will perhaps give away what's left next year rather than it just be wasted
