Wow Boinic, very inspirational and beautiful!
Glad you said you use washed and carded fleece as I'm off for a day course weaving tomorrow and the fleece I have prepared is washed and carded!  ;)
I also tried spinning some uncarded but it came out much cleaner looking after being carded.
Can't believe you managed that rug in such a short time!...... What'll be next?  :D

Sandy,
It can be washed but all that fleece gets very heavy. I washed the small one I made as it was done with unwashed fleece. I washed it in the sink and it still smelt sheepy so put some conditioner in the final rinse. I then spun dried it in the washing machine and put in the airing cupboard to dry completely.
STS, not sure what to do next but I may make something using material for a change.

The kids at the Youth Club loughed making peg rugs. We used carded wool but to make them a bit stronger we put in one to and fro with yarn every so of. Sorry, when it comes to weaving terms I am better in Danish than English :(

Sally, that's gorgeous and I'm now thinking I need a drum carder so I can make some myself.  When I was weaving for a living, rugs like this were one of my best sellers, and, as you said, so quick to make.  What width is your loom?
