There isn't really a minimum size (other than for indoor housing - which is probably smaller than most folk imagine  :()
Stocking density for pigs is advised at 6 per acre, but if it's a couple of weaners for pork you can do it with a bit less.
I find that the smaller an area is the quicker it gets trashed (especially with the wet weather) and the type of ground you have will affect it too - if you have wet ground you might need two pens to work in rotation.
I wouldn't try it with less than about 20m x 20m, but the more space you can give them the better IMHO

see  http://www.oldspots.org.uk/getting_started2.asp
this shows our paddock set up which is a piece of land 18mtrs x 36mtrs split into three, which we rotate the weaners over, we usually use two paddocks per set of growers to pork.

If you are only keeping a couple for a few months for pork, i cant see whats wrong with 12.5mX12.5m (the length of a roll of stock netting). Its a darn sight more than a lot of pigs these days

we had 4 weaners happily on 1/5th of an acre until they were 5 mths. the last month was autumn and it got muddy and boggy so we changed paddocks until they were 6 mths old. i also collected their droppings in this paddock. in reality it was too small but they were in there to destroy an awful lot of mature docks in this paddock.

Depends on weather & ground conditions, 2012 was very wet we rotated 4 paddocks with our 3 xmas weaners/porkers from end Aug to 1st wk Dec, they were diggers and each paddock soon became a quagmire as we are on heavy clay. Everyones situation is different and its good Jimmy is doing his homework.

Some very good advice here already J2 ...
All I can add is, dependant on the breed of weaners you get (some breeds put down more fat than others) the more room you can give them to run around on the better - more exercise, the better the muscles = more lean meat  :yum:
Good luck & let us know how you get on

I kept a couple of Middle Whites for 3mnths (sep-nov) in a pen approx 10m x 15m. They did really well, and it only started to get muddy in the last couple of weeks. I highly recommend the breed, easy to look after, they dont dig as much because of the upturned snout, and they taste delicious! Crackling was superb. If you keep pigs outside over winter it will be hard work
