There was a discussion going on in the kitchen this evening between fellow pig keepers and ourselves regarding borrowing a boar.
 
They were looking to borrow a boar but also had pigs going to slaughter next week.  The questions were that although they were aware that the boar coming onto their holding triggers a standstill are you still allowed to take others straight to slaughter during this period?
Answers please as there is a pint or two at stake here!

Kja is correct, you can always take beasts directly to slaughter during standstill. Hope that makes logistics easier!

Aye movements direct to slaughter are unaffected by the standstill.

It comes under The Disease Control (England) Order 2003  orThe Disease Control (Wales) Order 2003.  Part 2 article 6 permits moves during  standstill viz :
 
Notwithstanding articles 4 and 5, animals may be moved off premises during the standstill period if
(a)the movement is one specified in Schedule 1;......
 
Schedule 1 permits
 
 Movement for slaughter 2. The movement of an animal direct to a slaughterhouse.
3. The movement of a pig to a market for pigs intended for immediate slaughter.
