no, im also looking for using in lime rendering. ive been told my local stables will be clipping soon and i can have that.

You're timing is great - it's the start of horse clipping time right now. I'd pop along to a local riding school, hunting yard or livery yard & ask. Alternatively, there may be adverts up in feed merchants or tack shops offering horse clipping services. These are freelance clippers & will have access to much horse hair!

It's abit morbid but maybe ask the local hunt kennels to give you a call if they have a horse casualty. Most people try to hang onto there horses tail, not clip it off! Well I do anyway

I have lots of ponies, and their tails are really thick and reach the floor, but .....sorry, could not even dream of cutting their tales!!  Shame you did not ask a while back, as they were all shedding their summer coats, and we had tons of the stuff all over the place.
