First TV I bought was a large B/W valve set when I was 18. I got it from Dens Rd Market in Dundee.
It cost me £45.00 in 1982....It took me months to save for!

I remember all those programmes except the Newcomers and Twizzle.  My favourite children's programme was the Woodentops.  My Nan loved Dixon of Dock Green.

When my parents first were married they went to the cinema every week.  That was their treat.  When they had me 13 months later, they knew they wouldn't be able to go out very often so spent the cinema money on renting a tiny B&W TV.  That was in 1951.
