Yes, there is this possibility but it seems so full of itself and confident. We have had strays before, some of which have been escapees for a few months and they tend to be more timid around people, prefering to watch from inside boxes or under towels. This little thing races out of it's box to the front of the cage as soon as it hears you approach, and not for a cuddle  ;D   ::) ?territorial? So there is a chance it's feral  :-\
 It came in on Monday very cold and weak with hunger so was easily handled. By Monday night it gained strength and it's true nature began to show  :o and it's getting quicker  :rant:

I think it will end up euthanised as it's a problem to rehome the best natured ones brought in let alone one like this. It might make a good worker for an experienced person but where to find ferreters ??

i work all mine but its imposable to work a nasty ferret as you need to Handel them allot

its prob for the best , it would not be fair to keep it locked up in a cage all the time , sorry xx
