It does vary from area to area. Due to the weather, hardly any hay or haylage got early on in the summer, and if it was cut,it was just the one, not two or three as usual. Mainly big bales as well round here. As we are in sheep country, and hills, not many do hay at all. All our fodder comes from further down country, adding to the cost.
Saw the farmer today, and he does still have some bales left, but he won't for long, as the horsey people will come for it
