Hi mak we are storing them in hessian sacks in a dark insulted store we have. we planted ours in virgin ground ie never been ploughed in the 30 years we’ve lived here apart from the pigs were on it last year so no diseases.
We have sorted them by hand and any damaged ones will be used immediately any small ones to small to peel will be boiled up for the hens with some layers mash, and any with rot on just get discarded.
I agree it’s a bit early to be buying now we are going to add a king Edward to our stock next year. We planted Nicola 25Kg Sarpo Mira 50Kg we have had super return on the Sarpo Mira with good size potatoes the Nicola weren’t as good by the end of today we should have an exact total weight results.
