What weight would you expect a GOS to be for sending them to slaughter ?
I have a Boar that I have had to seperate who is around 5 1/2 months old and after measuring him he works out at 178.5  lbs
I hate seeing him on his own even though he can see the others and touch the others through the partition if they are inside  but when they go out he cant see them and they have 24/7 access to outside.
I am saying he is 51/2 months old but I am only guessing as thats the age if he was 8 weeks when I got them and i am not convinced they where as old as that as they where very small compared to other 8 week old weaners I have seen

Measure him with a tape measure around the chest behind the front legs (see GOS website starting with pigs time for pork) if he's over 38 inches he's ready to go to butchers, i send my GOS at 40 inches and 20 - 24wks old, have no idea about weights or what the weight you mention looks like.

Thanks measuring them the way that the GOS website says rather than the way suggested on here He is around 57KG and they say porkers are 55kg upwards and cutters 80kg upwards so think I will get him booked in as its usualy a week or 2 before they can go
