I am looking for 2 RIR pullets, ideally in the Angus, or Aberdeenshire area, would prefer eggs layers rather than show birds.  thanks

oh, this is really good news, i have been trying to find someone who is trying to breed the egg yield back into the RIR, I know that someone over in Oban used to do this but has stopped.  Whats ort of egg yield are you getting from your birds?

The first thing we done we looked Art the best layers I'm a black rock agent so black rock and  http://www.johnstonspoultry.com/Sussex.html      this is where we need to be so i got the best 2 roads and put them with Sussex D104 and made these sexabul chicks i then used the am rock to make a new black rock so naw we are making the utility road stock Shaw's ,John leach and Orkney hatching eggs Shaw's 70 ye res John leach 50 and Orkney 25 so very old stock which will do 200 sh eggs so naw line breed into the best roads using the hens .This is 18 months hard work we have made a better black rock and a better utility  which will cost a £10 at the moment .So next spring we should have medium size hens dark brown eggs and lay 280 eggs .You must also remember that we are using the best cock birds we can find hex am duram york cornwall worcter etc
