Anyone for Veg ?
« on: August 11, 2012, 12:21:54 am »
Silly question but is there anyone on here in Northumberland close to the postcode NE47 that could use some fruit and veggies for pigs ?
we go to the wholesaler once a week and TBH  I am sure they are giving us more and more every time we go  :o
Been today and we came home with
100  large boxes of Kiwi fruit
30 x 15kg boxes of Scotch baking potatoes (just starting to grow shoots)
20 big boxes of pea pods
10 boxes of Broccoli
5 Boxes of spring greens
6 18 kg boxes of bananas
so if there is anyone close enough to be able to collect some from us they are more than welcome to some free.
This will probably be an ongoing offer because they have said as long as we collect once a week they will keep everything for us that day

Me too!  ;D  Still got some to spare?
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
