O.K I have a significant birthday coming up and It's about time I stopped dreaming and did something about what I want to be when I grow up .
 I want my own market garden type thing (I know not very original but please hear me out). I want to supply veg to the hotels, guest houses, B&Bs and the locals at large. I want to sell veggie plants to anyone that wants them. Then there is the chicken and Quail eggs (sort of do that bit already). Also want to sell some of my craft things, bead weave bracelets, Highland Cow horn Jewellery, hand dipped candles just bits and bobs (this part would be aimed more at the holiday makers).
I Think it could work as I would have a captive audience being on the Isle of Mull and there is no one else doing it down this end of the Island ( it is the 3rd biggest).
 I did a little bit of it the year before last just selling my produce at the gate from a barrow. But since we moved this has not happened for several reasons 1, garden on 45 degree slope (and now have chickens ) 2, not got the passing trade at new location  3, land lord wouldn't like us selling from a barrow outside. That's all the excuses 
So how do I go about doing this thing? I don't want to make millions I just want to break even and be able to pay bills (other half will still have a real job).

 Dare I be naive and ask about grants
