Urgent : Free to good home - 3 Cats - North Lincs
« on: June 05, 2012, 10:33:31 pm »
Urgently need a home for three 6 year old cats.  2 are indoor cats and the other is more of a stable / farm cat (excellent hunter)

We're relocating to the Isle of Man on Friday and the person who was taking them has let us down.

Any help appreciated.  The two indoor ones are devoted to each other and we would like them to go together if possible

Have you contacted your local Cat's Protection League? They may be able to take them as an emergency or, at least, find a foster home. Good luck :)

Can't they go with you? Especially if two are basically house cats?

You do have to keep them shut in for a while, but my family moved house with my Dad's job every three years or so when we were kids and the cats always came too, they were part of the family.

We just moved and my four house cats came with us no problem. The out door cat could surely be kept in for a little while, even a barn maybe? Seems a shame to re-home for a short period of disturbance.
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

I don't know about the original posters situation - but I know from my own experience that the limiting factor with taking pets along to a new home is that when you have to rent, there's hardly anybody who will accept "pets, smokers, kids or DSS".  :'(

I'm sure if Alex could take the cats, then they would be taken  :)

If anyone can help by offering these cats a new home, please do. :cat: :cat: :cat:

Exactly! I'm in a council house - I'm allowed one cat, but I would need special permission for another one... Not that I would want to inflict another one on the one I already have. She's a very private little creature, and my house is very small, without room to go and avoid another animal...
