I've just had my first home grown salad of the year.  Boy, did I enjoy it.   :yum: :yum: :yum: :yum: :yum:

We had some tonight as well, with our homegrown chicken.  :yum:

Salad still growing. Our kids pinched the few sugar snaps ready, and still waiting for a training course on poultry dispatch ( don't want to attempt chick rearing until I can confidently do this ).

Wish I could share some  :eyelashes:

Sorry to say that we have been feeding surplus large lettuce to the ducks and rabbits for over a week - I'm planting just 10 seeds at a time now with about 75% success rate for germination. I reckon if I get 5 good lettuce from these then we won't have the usual overproduction.
Spinach was good with our own duck the other night and rabbit tonight !
