I have two female ducks and 1 drake. my female cherry valley has stoped laying but not my khaki, the weather has been cold and wet so could that be it? or could it be because she is stressed, the drake bullys her alot, when they are eating he will peck at her and pull lumps of feathers out and favours my khaki, he only mates with the khaki and doesnt bully her atall, could someone me why he hates my cherry valley so much? Iv had the khaki 7 month, the drake 3 months and the cherry valley just under 3 months. I am thinking of selling my drake to stop the bullying

Could she be laying somewhere but you haven't found the eggs? My muscovies will lay in the house for ages and then, no eggs. Then I'll go an a search and found she's been laying eggs in the hedge ready for incubating.

Brijjy may well be right, though my ducks stop laying at the least upset. Gave them a lovely new house, stopped laying, added two new ducks, stopped laying, moved their pen sideways on to give them new grass, yes, stopped laying
Also, I think one drake to two ducks may be a bit rough on the ducks. Could you get a couple more ducks? (Then they'll all stop laying )

If it helps, two of my four khaki's have stopped laying this week - I'm guessing due to being as wet and miserable as everyone else. The aylesburys are still laying but in random places during the day, no longer all at night in their coop, which I'm taking as a sign of broodiness - certainly the drakes are getting a lot more active!

Blimey. What a lot of sensitive duckys! My load of mussies could'nt care less what you do. I've just moved a nesting female from under the hedge to a safe place in a trailer and apart from her attacking my hands and face, she has settled into her new place and is sitting tight on her eggs.
