In case some of you had given up on the idea, I'm glad to report that the wonderful phenominon we have come to rely on when all else fails is still working well in this neck of the woods,........" Whats the old fool on about now ? " I hear you ask.
SODS LAW is what i'm waffling on about,
Today we have a very wet and windy ,cold, misserable pig of a day , the sort of day when all you want to do is get the animals seen to quickly and get back into the warmth of the house, feet up by the fire etc,
Fate had other plans,
Our landlords grandson was here to feed their sheep , so he went and got a 1 ton bucket of feed beet on the front of the tractor , as he got level with our stable block just opposite our house where I park the car, one of the hydraulic pipes on the grab exploded dropping the bucket of beet on the roadway and spraying half a gollon of hydraulic fluid in a fifty yard radius. , it was up our front door, all over the path , my car was dripping oil , not a square inch was spared, he could not have timed it better as far as maximum mayhem was concerned .
It has taken me 4 washes just to get it off the windscreen and side windows, the paintwork still has rainbows of oil, and the path to the house is still deadly.
Two seconds either way and he would have missed us, but no such luck. Sods law strikes again.
