I've given up!
« on: February 26, 2012, 11:34:49 pm »
I have finally given up my Registered Kune Kune Herd status - it now includes 2 registerd OSB gilts from the Thorneilee Herd & is due to increase dramatically with the sound of 2 lots of tiny trotters the end of next month!

Why I've done it?  Well my partner has been patiently & quietly nagging until I gave in - they're not mine, they're hers really - this year's birthday pressie actually  ;)  My love for my KKs is unfaltering & hopefully they will gain recognition as "proper pigs" now the blasted "micro-pig" thing is being understood by every animal lover in the UK

Many thanks to Cath for such enduring patience between booking & moving, & to HappyHippy & her OH for so kindly & carefully getting them here in time for my OH's birthday  :-*

Hm - The Tunkey Herd of Registered Kune Kune in Scotland + Oxford Sandy & Blacks - a bit of a mouthful, but it has a certain ring!  ;D

  :pig:

As an OSB fan I can of course only offer my congratulations on the new arrivals!

 ;D ;D ;D
They are stunners Lynne
I'm about 95% sure they're Poppy's sisters - but bigger since they weren't in-pig quite as early as my little hussy  ::) :D
Robert - 2 herds  ;)

Oh - it'll be 2 herds, definately Robert - "tunkey" is Midlandish for "fat & Round" & that's as far as my OH has influence on my KKs  ;)

Sally - they are "growing" on me, honest, they are a lovely pair of OSBs, I'm just not used to chattering away at a pig when I can't see it's eyes!  OMG does it hurt when they stand on your toes  :o

I'll be down to see your wee hussy tomorrow Karen   ;)

:light bulb:  "tunkey pigs"  - oh , of course!  Your OH shares my sense of humour - and region of birth!  But do please tell her that OSBs are not tunkey pigs, au contraire, they are positively svelte (especially when compared to the, admittedly pretty, little chaps whose Maori name means "Very fat and very round"...  ;))

I'm afraid to say, not by everybody!  Had the conversation (read "well controlled rant") just the other day with a daftie who wants "a micro mini pig for partner's 40th birthday present!"  Note the pig singular!
  I was very restrained..... ;)

tunkey pigs, love it! :)
