As previous post

I think there is possibly more to the situation than we get to read about - and as someone on the other post said - everything can work out fine if you have a lot of family and friends locally - but for myself, it's just me and OH here - I guess we'll just have to make sure things never 'slip'.

I am in no way defending this situation but sometimes thing happen that knock us off our normal routine - food poisoning a couple of years ago knocked us both out for about 5 days - it was such an effort to get out, just so difficult.- we did manage but ......

Pygmy Goats, Shetland Sheep, Zip & Indie the Border Collies, BeeBee the cat and a wreak of a building to renovate!!

You think thats bad. You wanna live next door to the sick bas***d here.

3 times over the last 8 years he has been in court for animal cruelty, not just the odd one ,but dozens and dozens of corpses all over his land. Cattle and sheep. Last winter it was bad up here and he never fed his sheep at all. They were digging through snow looking for grass that wasn't there. Dozens died and the ones that survived lambed dead and very weak lambs and the ravens and crows had them as they were being born.

He claims he is suffering depression and one of the visits he made to court he walked in on two sticks. The following day he came out of the local farm supply store with a 20kg bag of dog food on his shoulder.
They fined him yet again and did not ban him and a week after he bought another farm.

Birching is to good for them.

That does put a different slant on it.

Apart fromm the cruelty aspect, you wouldn't think it would make financial sense to not look after animals.  After all, they're his livelihood.
