the commercial pig farmers feed soya as well as barley(rolled)  you will need a licence to mix your own feeding
being at school is your biggest disadvantage  you are not mobile unless  somebody will drive you to collect the veg and possible brewers mash   in the end bought in concentrates will work out cheaper than milling and mixing and collecting waste veg etc :farmer:

Also Oaklands, am I right in thinking that you do pig keeping courses, because if so, i think we have met a couple of times at the shows?

Yes, i normally do your your waters for you at edenbridge and oxted because as part of young farmers we stay overnight. You might remember me, we had two GOS boars and a sow at the e&o show two years ago, and last year we had two berkshire gilts?
