can some one tell me what is the average age a chicken can be sold and age when they first start laying

age from the egg. POL depends on breed and how they mature

Most hens start laying 22-26 weeks old but can vary with the breed.

Folk sell day-olds throught to point of lay - from about 16 weeks old.
