Hello
« on: August 28, 2011, 09:16:53 am »
We are Allan and Vicky living in the southern highlands of Scotland.

Currently sharing the house with Jamie, aged 7, plus 2 deerhounds, 2 lurchers, 4 cats, and numerous chickens, plus various other small furries. Hopefully we will soon be going further north to Sutherland to start our own smallholding or croft, currently its fingers crossed all works out.

Cheers

Allan and Vicky

Hello Allan and Vicky, welcome to TAS from sunny Worcestershire

I love lurchers, do they get on ok with the cats then? I wanted to rehome a lurcher once but was a bit worried about my feline friends  :)

Hello Allan & Vicky from blowy north Cumbria.

We are commercial beef and sheep farmers kinda smallholding on the side - Jersey house cow, in-pig pig, chickens, no more ducks (dang that mink!)  Working collies, will be walking a new hound pup in a few weeks' time.  (Can't wait!)

Best of luck with your plans.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

plumseverywhere - yes they do get on with the cats. Well get on may be pushing it as they have their moments. They chase them occasionally but fortunately only in play, and it isn't unusual to see one of the the cats chasing the eldest lurcher! Pic of the two of the, attched.

Cheers
