Another date for your diary

There will be a Rare Breed Survival Trust members day at Palacerigg country park in Cumbernauld on Thursday 22nd September.

From the RBST website -
This is an excellent Farm Park with a HUGE variety of Rare Breeds; Shetland and White Park Cattle, Eriskay and higland ponies, Castlemilk Moorit, soay, Boreray and ryeland sheep, Tamworth pigs, Bagot goats and Scots Grey and Scots Dumpy Poultry. There truly is something for everyone.

Plans include tour of the livestock, guest lectures and  as we are still in the planning stages for the event and are open to suggestions from members for workshop topics.

We have tried to keep costs to a minimum, so we will only be charging £5 to cover the cost of a light buffet lunch.

We're hoping to establish a Southern Scotland support group and, if there are enough interested people there, will be electing a committee.
For anyone who's not a member - I can really recommend joining, the cost is £30 per year and I think it's worth it (and those of you who know me will know I like value for money ;))

More info can be found on the RBST website.

Thanks for reading folks and I'll hopefully see some of you there  ;D

Have you told Ian Bell at the Caledonian Group?

I'll circulate to CSSA members and Ian's on the distribution list now anyway.

Thanks Rosemary  :-*
Yes, Ian already knows and I believe there's a bit in the most recent copy of the Ark (the one I'm still waiting for  ::)) Also think that Claire at head office is sending out invites to existing members in the proposed 'coverage area', I'm hoping to attract folks that maybe haven't heard of the RBST before or don't know about all the stuff they do (plus it's a great excuse for more socialising  ;) ;D)
Thanks
