Not going. Nothing I'm interested in so will spend the day tidying up for the farm walk here next week.

Spurred on by one of my hens going broody on Thursday, I went to the hatching egg sale determined to get a dozen eggs.

Oooops, a dozen Vorwerk eggs were going for £2 so I got them for £3, then I got a half dozen Andalusian and then thought I was bidding on 6 Barbu d'uccles but actually it was 12. Came away with 30 eggs :o for less than £15 quid!

Add to that the 6 chicks Gary owed me after giving me cockerels and the 2 gold laced wyandotte youngsters he sold me for a fiver (I'm still convinced they are cockerels aswell though, Gary!)

So overall I came away with 30 eggs and 8 young uns for less than £20 I think that's a good day shopping! ;D

Well Done ! You got bargins. I didn't come away with anything, bid on 2 white pekin pullets but went too high. My mate did well got £80 for trio of mille fleur pekins !

Well I didn't get anything. Everything I went to look at either hadn't turned up or wasn't what it was supposed to be  ::)
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.

We did not get as OH was crow watching so I got on with work needed in the pollytunnel. I think he was worried I would come home with more animals but as we are getting 2 Kune-Kune weaner's at the end of June I am saving my money for a change. Still would have been nice to have some time out  :)
