Reintroducing myself...
« on: April 28, 2011, 08:49:59 am »
Hi Folks,
I feel I know some of you already, I use to be a fairly regular here about 18 months ago but due to 'family matters' needed to take a breather for a wee while, so when my last weaner's headed for the freezer and the blxxdy fox paid a visit and took my hens it seemed a good time to take a break. Well things have improved and I am ready to get back 'into it'. Have three piglets running around a ten marvellous Rhode Rock hens producing fabby eggs, have repaired the raised beds in the veg garden and seedlings are popping up in abundance. Life is good and the sun is shining!! Lots of plans of course, would love to get a wee trio of Light Sussex, poss some geese and would love some day old table birds as they were such a success previously! Did pop onto the forum occasionally to check you all out and was good to read your news. So heres wishing you all a long and happy summer.... back to the weeding....

Hello and big welcome back! We've missed you.

Glad things have sorted out at home and hope we'll catch up in person really soon, maybe at something with CSSA.

Hiya,  Welcome back!

I see from the location map that you're just down the road from us. In fact I remember seeing your place from the road a couple of years ago and thinking it looked like a great setup (my parents live not too far away). I just hadn't connected the location with the name.

We also have friends that live opposite you at Faraway Farm, which is surely the best place name ever!!

See you at CSSA hopefully!

Lovely to hear from you. I have waved at you a few times as you drove through the village. We will have day old turkeys at beginning of June and Hubbards beginning July if you want any.
Hope to speak to you soon

Welcome back from me too - I see your near Kippen on the map.  Say hello to Gino and his people if you see him(Finlays).  His Dad is my avatar.  Next CSSA meet is at Rosemary's if you join before 14th May

Thanks for the welcome back!  Next step is to renew my CSSA membership, will do next week so will catch up with some of you there. Annie will give Gino a pat the next time I see him, usually each morning as we share a school run with the Finlays youngest. Womble - Faraway Farm is a great spot. Andrew always think of you and Janis as driving through the village and wonder how you are doing up on the hill! Will pm you as would love some turkeys and day old chickens.  Thanks again folks!

Thanks, Jo.  Could you also remind Linda and George that I have never received any photos - just one visit from George and Gino when he was about 6 months old.  I have sent emails to beth from tiem to time.  Give Georgie a high five for me - she's a wee cracker! Well not so wee now I guess.  She was one of my daughter's Nursery class pupils
