I have some left in a bed and I wondered if the leaves are edible? I put radish leaves into my salads as they are like mustard greens but not sure about turnips. I have in the back of my head that parsnip tops aren't...Would they be any good for the birds?

my chickens eat any green I cut out of the veg patch, they especially love spinach and cabbage leaves. So they will love turnip tops.

Yes, you can eat them, but I find them rather bitter.

turnip tops are good treated like spinach. i also thought parsnip leaves unedible, but my friends new polish wife makes soup from them, so he has eaten them, ive yet to try.

maybe it's just the seelings then as you are not supposed to eat those (unlike radish and brokkoli seedlings/sprouts)
