TB trials at Killerton
« on: April 20, 2011, 06:20:34 am »
Just saw this on "Breakfast" - the trials are FINALLY going to start, can't believe this Government has stalled this long over this & it's the only trial going ahead out of the 6  originally planned by the last Government  >:(
You'd have thought after the bungled "cull" in Wales they'd have got their acts together to deal with this awful disease well before now - can't really see £320,000 over 4 years as being much of an investment - some of the MP's expenses are in excess of that  :o
I suppose we should be grateful that something's being done  ::)

Nothing makes me more angry than this. Fact is when you had rural MPs who understood the countryside, MAFF was staffed by at least a few suits who understood, we had a chance! Meanwhile the urban bunnyhuggers sensibilities about cuddly brock take precedence over vets evidence, stock mans knowledge and historical fact. Then we loose valuable bloodlines, the gene pool goes and needless culling goes on.
My grandad must be rolling in his grave at this farce.
