My daughter-in-law did a huge surprise for my son Simon on Saturday. They have been married 5 years but their wedding was not a good day as too much went wrong. The Holliday Inn near her ( Connahs Quay North Wales ) have started doing a package for £1000. She booked it to renew their vows without telling him. For 50 people you get a lovely room done up for the service, a set meal which for us was soup, roast beef with all the trimmings and a lovely desert plus mints and coffee..A DJ and plenty of dance area. IN the evening when others arrived there was plenty of sandwiches, sausage rolls, chicken drumsticks, egg and tomato flan. She added a chocolate fountain and a kids pick and mix bar. At first he was very shocked then overcome when he saw that the whole family were there. After their first wedding and what he paid out it was a delight. We all had great fun, the weather was perfect. Even our rooms were cheaper than the normal rate, breakfast amazing. I would go for this if I was thinking of getting married. At the moment it is still in the planning for other Holiday Inns but what a great deal and such lovely staff.  ;D

Wow, that's great to read. |Sounds like a fantastic day. Well done to Holiday Inn too I think.

For our wedding we eloped to Las Vegas, a bit more expensive but cheaper than the 'full monty' in the UK, especially when it's the second time for us both.
