lambs are completely draft free in fact their pen has been insulated with straw bales to keep heat in.  i have made a fleece jacket for poorly boy and managed to get 4 feeds down him albeit 150mls a time.  his navel seems fine so i have to hope that the move etc has just over loaded his system and given time he will recover.  If he looks any worse tomorrow i will shout over the hedge to our vet!!

I would normally only feed orphan lambs 4 times a day- but we do spread out the feeds a bit more. 6.30 am, 12pm, 5pm and 11pm to 12pm for the last feed. Sometimes a greedy lamb will just overdo it at the beginning, and give themselves a sore tummy. Make sure he is taking fluid, even if you have to mix his milk with water to get him to take a bit more.

That could be perfectly normal milk stools.

thank you everyone for posts - poorly boy seems on the mend this morning!

jacket seems to have helped and he took all his feed (not quite as full on as the others).  He was even investigating the creep feed and haylage with them too.

i will keep close eye on him and keep jacket on till i think he is back up to boisterous self.

will try to post pic and if anyone can tell be what breed he is that would be fantastic.  my children think he looks like a goat!!!!  he looks like he was dehorned.
