so how come goats can jump over the stable door but cant jump back in, even when theyv left the baby behind?  
my gsd has the same problem with farm gates

Because its harder (mentally)for a prey animal to jump into a cave than escape from it?

My youngster is often in the corridor in the morning, dont know if she jumps in and out and I just catch her out. My milker is just stands where the feed bucket gets placed cause she is clever.
