Battery hens
« on: February 12, 2011, 01:34:20 pm »
Those in Suffolk may be interested to know that the Battery hen welfare trust are now rehoming from Suffolk.
They are using Jimmy's Farm as a collection point, but it is very little to do with him except as a rehoming venue. He does use it as publicity & makes it sound as if he is involved with organisation.
They have just had the first collection from there & will continue. Any application is through the BHWT on http://www.bhwt.org.uk/
We have a couple of hens from them (having just lost one with egg peritonitis) & they are well worth saving. Ours now look good & lay well
