Oh well here we go, new piggies and got one with a slightly dirty arse, so I'm looking at my first scouring.

Will keep a eye on him and see how we go, their new here and came from inside; so the new experience outside nettles, brambles and grass probably the cause with any luck.

Other than the loose Pooh he's up running round, eating, drinking and forageing, even tried humping his brother this afternoon  : Hopefully tomorrow Ill find he's less of a scour, wish me luck, Ive heard how fast these things can turn out to be nasty.

Yes, it's probably all the new green stuff compared to what he got to eat before. We got boars from an half-open sty earlier this year  (very well looked after but living on straw as they'd been born late winter instead of outside in the field), who had the same problem when they arrived in our pen and suddenly found out that there was green stuff to dig up and munch on - all those lovely nettles were just irresistable!! And some always had it more than others - one of them was a true vegetarian and ate easily 3-4 times as much fruit and veg as mr carnivore.

Give it a few days, if it doesn't get better give him some cereal with a bit of milk or with bananamash to 'firm' things a bit. Pooh that's a bit soft is ok, liquid poo is quite another - and it's too difficult to clean up! 
We made the pen a bit smaller for a week, too, until the problem was sorted.

It will be the change of diet. Should calm down in a few days. Are they getting a ration of pig pellets? This will be what he had in his former home (you could ring and ask what they had if not sure), and it would be best to continue the same diet with regard to his hard feed. They are a good balance.

As for curing it, it should clear up when he gets used to the green stuff - if it doesn't speak to your vet -  I'm not sure about feeding milk, this usually has the opposite effect of curing a runny bum.

Not feeding milk, just some cereal made moist with a bit of milk. It's about the cereal, can be ordinary weetabix of porridge oats. Milk has never been a problem with any of our pigs, though of course there will always be one that's the exception to the rule even with small amounts.
I'm still trying to get my hands on some whey, so far without success

Thanks so much for the feedback and advice. Well good news, already looking ok had their feed and I hung around for an hour, he's fine normal pooh good colour had a dirty rear yesterday so just something that didn't agree with him.
