Boy meets girls..
« on: September 08, 2010, 09:10:43 pm »
Oh my god I thought loading horses was difficult! Well we decided it was time for Boris (couldn't take to any other name so Boris stuck) to meet the girlies. Decided to load one at a time onto the horse box and move down the field like that.. Well no one thought to tell Kim and Aggie that moving to a nice new pen with a nice new boyfriend was a good idea. Kim FINALLY went in so we went back for Aggie. We used boards did all the things you're told but no she wasn't having it and barged past my son and off down the field. Of course the horses needed to get in on the act so we had horse pony pig and 4 people chasing round the field. A real Benny Hill moment!
We finally managed to get her back down the field and after much pursuasion got her loaded and moved. Then came boris who took 5 minutes of persuasion and on he went. Put the girls totally to shame. We then had to move the Arc ( I've missed out the colorful language that OH was using and threats of divorce if I ever get another animal)
so there we are fighting against the oncoming dark wrestling an Arc down the field stumbling over and cursing as we go. Put on a real show for the neighbours!!
So boy and girls hit it off straight away he was thrilled to meet them and they seem equally pleased. He immediately tried to mount each of them but clearly not receptive right now but he's doing his best.
So there they are chasing each other round the pen making much excited noises. Wonder if they'll ever go to sleep. Oh how my neighbours love me!!   :pig: ;D

Lovely story, I can just imagine it!
Wait 'till your neighbours see the piglets - they'll forget all about the noise!  ;D

Just been outo check them. Girls have gone to bed but Boris is wandering around on his own. I hope they let him in the Arc... I'm worried now :-(( suppose they'll sort themselves out and he'll go in if cold.

Thanks littlemisspiggy. He doesn't mean it all cuddles and apologies this morning he just has to have a good rant when anything is a bit stressful. Boris has totally settled already, bossing the girls about and dominating the trough this morning so I'm pretty sure he made sure he got the best spot in the arc last night!
Good luck with perky.  :D :pig:

Fortunately we dont have close neighbours, as our last boar was very enthusiastic normally at his best around 4 in the morning and so very, very vocal.
