Can anyone help me: I'm looking to buy or rent about one third or half an acre to raise about 3-6 pigs.
I'll be putting up a simple fence and one or two huts for the pigs. The pigs will be well looked after.
The land can be very overgrown and an unmanageable corner of a farmer's field, or someone with a big garden who loves pigs (but doesn't want the responsibility) would be ideal.
Bit of old woodland would be a paradise!
I live in Hertfordshire.
Do you have land? Do you have any friends in Herts that could give me advice?
Any suggestions where to look?

I know this is a long shot, but we were once able to rent some land from the local council.  A friend rented a huge field from the gasboard.  She achieved this by driving around looking for suitable land then researching who owned it and wrote and phoned everyone.  hope this helps.  HM

Thanks for your continued support!
Someone suggested using Google Earth to identify land, and asking farmers for an unmanageable corner. But having spotted a suitable biyt of land, how do I track down the landlord? Via the land registry?

I'll contact the Council for sure, also my local Agricultural college.

Cheers

Flash Earth has a number of different options in which to view the earth.  On the left hand side there are a number of programmes - just click on each radio button till you get what suits you best.
