Don't forget that it's easier to lower prices than to put them up. When we did this, we used to keep the prices relatively high in Spring and Autumn, but then reduced the prices with a 'special offer' when we had a glut in the summer. That was a great help in managing supply and demand.
I bought a couple of boxes from an honesty box myself a few months ago. Most of them hatched too - Bargain!!  :roflanim: .

I sold my first 3 boxes for £2.50 each, in about 10 mins, offering coloured eggs in clear (recycled) plastic carton so people can see they're different from ordinary shop eggs, and I went through the palaver of registering with EMI and LA so have producer and packer numbers, stamp and hygiene rating. But I'll need to sell about 100 boxes to cover costs, and I reckon that'll take 2 seasons assuming no losses to foxes etc. It's a first little adventure in business for me :)
