RATS
« on: May 07, 2010, 04:59:16 pm »
I just watched a Kim and Aggie programme about the epidemic of rats in London.  They said that it was Law that anyone finding rats on their land had to report it to the Council.  Does that apply only to London, or only to England, or to the whole country?  Anyone know?

I'd not heard that before.  I know in London they reckon you are never more than a few yards from a rat at any time!  I bet if it is law that you report it, the Councils there must be inundated!

When some developers cleared 3 acres of land behind my old house the rats ran. Eventually I heard this noise in my kitchen and saw a rat, I called the council and they came to put down rat bait which they sprinkled losse on the floor by the side of my dish washer. I was soo mad as I have 3 dosgs and 2 cats able to get to the bait. they eventually came out and put it in a bait box.

To get into the house the rat had chewed through concrete that we had patched our outside wall with.

Son was going around for days singing "Theres a rat in my kitchen what am I going to do."

Hubby shoots them with an air rifle - he's quite a good shot! Should I hire him out?

We find the rats on our bird table, so I sit in the spare bedroom waiting with the air rifle and waiting and waiting ........ I've now resorted to rat traps and rat poison.
