Available for collection on Tuesday 14th November.  Priced at £8/kg, half a hogget from £56 (min 7kgs) or a whole hogget from £112 (min 14kgs.).

These are sheep born in April 2016, grass fed, outdoor bred and reared.  All are Shetland cross other native breed (variously Manx Loaghtan, Wensleydale, Blue-faced Leicester, Castlemilk Moorit as well as pure Shetland.).   These sheep mature more slowly than the continental types, taking twelve to eighteen months to reach butchering weight.  The slower growth results in fine grained, flavoursome meat which is naturally lean.

The meat will have been hung for a week before butchering.  Cook like lamb but expect more flavour.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
