Don't get me wrong, its bizarre. 

But, reading through some of the posts I can see some instances where it was useful- one lady was a volunteer taking the chickens to nursing homes for the elderly and very ill, so they can stroke the chickens. This way its not a health risk.

For a brief time I had a serama (bought from a shop wi' big windaes - ie they saw me coming )
and apparently they are more common in malaysia as house pets than cats or dogs - and guess what ? They wear nappies!
