ARAMS for abattoir tomorrow
« on: October 09, 2016, 11:34:20 am »
I have used the ARAMS forms before without an issue but am struggling today.  We are taking 3 sheep tomorrow to the abattoir but having completed the form and hit save, I can't get it to print and when I look at the movements record it doesn't appear to be there.  In the past I have taken a copy of the ARAMS form with me to the abattoir and they have signed it and given it back to me.  What can I do if I cannot get the form to print off?  Is there any other form online I could use?

Can you not print off blank copies and fill in by hand, time consuming but at least it lets you take them?

I have had that before when there is a minor error filling the form in, it appears to save but doesn't. As previous reply, just print off the blanks and fill in by hand.

I presume you were able to print off a blank copy??

I have always had to print off the blank copy and fill it in manually.  Could anyone tell me how to do it online?  I have contacted ARAMS but they were quite unhelpful!

They probably don't understand it themselves!  It seems to have a couple of glitches in it and certainly is temperamental on how you fill in certain bits. I struggle to use it to do individual numbers so usually just give the flock number and number of animals which it seems to cope with. Make sure you get the haulier bit in right as it sits across the page so is not obvious and fill in the last page on status. Then with a bit of luck it might work. You can edit later if you spot an error but when I confused my goats for sheep it would not allow a retrospective change so let's hope any inspector thinks they are sheep too.

I am never sure that the electronic form has been submitted when the submit button is pressed and have not been able to print it off the electronic form. I print off the PDF form available on the ARAMS site hand complete it by hand and photocopy it.

Thanks, but my issue is that I can't find the online form!! I can only find the PDF format which is why I can't do it online.

I'm sure I've searched the whole site for the online version ???

Just had the same problem with AML2 for pigs. They should have gone to the abbatoir Monday but the system wouldnt work. When i rang them Monday they had not entered my herd number on their database. All sorted for next Monday but the pigs thanked me by chewing a rear light off the trailer!
