Ticks on my Turkeys!

Noticed 2 to 3 ticks on the head/neck area of my Turkeys this morning (despite my flock of Guinea fowl!!)
any ideas how to treat them?

A drop of spirits (vodka, scotch etc.) will make them let go, or you could apply Vaseline very thickly and smother them! I know there's a place and a purpose for every living thing in this world but I don't think ticks would be missed!!

Well if ever I need an excuse to head across the croft with a bottle of whisky and a tub of Vaseline then there it is!!
