I've just found a baby magpie (i think from looking at piccie's on the net). It's partially feathered so not able to fly yet and can't find the nest to put it back. It's in a box in the living room. Anyone know what i should do? However much i dislike the magpies (they're stealing my duck eggs!) i can't bring myself to do anything other than try and help it!

rspca local rescue centre. a tame maggie is a pest a neighbour had one years ago and it was a pain. untill a cat got it.

No shame in trying to help a young bird no matter how evil they are, but it has special needs and will die unless you get expert help from RSPCA.  Then get the air gun out and shoot its parents

Its been chucked out of the nest for a reason, I'd top it!! sorry..........

I had a tame Magpie that I raised when I worked for the RSPCA. I raised a Jacdaw with it. If you have neighbours they can be a pest ,landing on their heads and pooing on washing etc. I would ring the RSPCA they might know of a wildlife sanctuary that will take it with others.
When my OH was young they used to take branchling crows etc and hand raise them, very easy to hand raise corvids.
