So how do you know how much to apply?

I filled the spray bottle with water and did test squirts into a measuring cup, 10 of my sprays = x mls. Then we estimated sheep weight (I so wish we had scales), checked the back of the bottle for dosage rates and sprayed the sheep with the equivalent number of sprays to dosage mls.

It wasn't perfect as the clik is thicker than water so doesn't move through the spray head as well. We calculated how much we would need for all the sheep, measured out that amount of water into the spray bottle and made a mark on the bottle. Then we emptied the water and filled to the mark (a little over) with clik. We has excess left over though which is how I know that the clik didn't come through as easy as water.
